Doing this is said to improve their skills in language and social behavior. They may learn to negotiate when they play with others, and they can strengthen ther imagination by pretending and storytelling. I have 2 girls and they love playing dress up, and as if it is a game it keeps them entertained for hours and hours. They love to dress each other up including but not limited to characters from tv shows, the Lion King and Queen movie, their baby dolls, and barbies, and very often they are dressing up their favorite stuffed animals.
