Should lions really be afraid of eagles?
It is possible you have seen or heard the phrase: "When the lion roars, the eagles soar," on a t-shirt, or pc at some point in your life before and wondered what it means exactly? It makes sense that since many eagles eat the remnants of the dead prey after it has been killed by a predator, they would follow the lions roar from the sky, because it means a free meal. I do not think that the eagle is much of a threat to the life of a strong and healthy lion unless the lion happens to be a very small, young cub who may be having fun playing running lion games with other cubs and possibly strays away too far from his mother and the eagle sees their animated images from the sky,not be sure if it is a tiger or cheetah, but picks one up anyway for a tasty treat.
